11/100 films watched in 2014: Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, by Stanley Kubrick, 1964.
How I learned to stop worrying and love Kubrick. This is a horrible bureaucratic and technocratic man’s world. dr. Strangelove is funny from the beginning to the end, but it’s a desprerated humor. It is the proof that you can do an edgy black comedy without necessarily being offensive (however I have mixed feeling on the denunciation of the misogyny of the military system, because I’m not sure this is isn’t, here, perpetuating it).
